Mozilla Camp Europe 2009 - A first for Caminol10n?
From the Mozilla wiki:
Mozilla Europe is organizing a large two-day Mozilla conference in Prague, Czech Republic, 3-4 Oct, 2009. The conference, officially called "Mozilla Camp Europe 2009", aims to bring together Mozillians (staff and community members) from 4 main areas - DEV, l10n, Advocacy and QA - with a special focus on Europe.
Caminol10n has never participated to events like this and Camino devs have organized small events only in the US, but I think there are certain facts to be considered this time.
First, we're coming from a period in which we consolidated and somehow grew, although you must read this with Camino scale in mind.
Then, there's the imminent Camino 2 release, which is expected to be exciting for us and possibly an audience of new users.
Finally, the location is quite accessible for our European contributors.
So I think there's a chance of having an interesting Caminol10n meetup alongside the Mozilla event, where we could also meet other Camino contributors/fans from Europe and nearby.
At the moment, it's just an idea, but if you find it interesting, please let me know - quickly - and I will see what we can do with Camino and Mozilla folks.
